You are in for a wonderful surprise if you are backpacking Siem Reap, Cambodia.

Siem Reap has a bustling atmosphere with great bars and cafes. Only a few kilometres north of the city sits Angkor Wat, one of the worlds most impressive temple grounds, with a variety of significant and distinctive temples.

Siem Reap is home to a floating village on Tonie Lake. The village moves with the changing shoreline. There is also a Silk Farm near the airport as well as a War and Landmine Museum. There are also some waterfalls at the Koulen Mountains.

There are some wonderful hostels and other great backpackers accommodation in Siem Reap. Siem Reap hostels are located in a variety of different buildings. From beautiful guest houses in the heart of the city to quaint, traditional style houses, there are many options for those traveling on a budget.
